Congratulations Liam, Dresden, Logan, Ava, and Archer! We also have two Tigers who are currently home learning and they had earned 5 or more light bulbs as well: Amelia and Westyn. We are so proud of each of you and thank you for sharing your light with those around you! Keep up the good work!

For our families who are learning at home, you might want to try out this tool called "Immersive Reader". It is a FREE tool you can use on Google Chrome. It will then read any online text aloud for you or your Tiger. Watch the tutorial here: https://youtu.be/ziyTRCYmftw.

Clarity Announcement: We have had some questions about the relaxed attendance guidelines from the State at sporting events. The new rule is %’s of fixed seating capacity. Because our FSC both indoors and outdoors is very small the increase attendance for CPS is minimal. For some schools, it can open events completely back up. Consider the visitors are required half, it got the band & guests back to football games and an additional guest per player for indoor events. We apologize, we don’t make the rules, we are just tasked with enforcing them. D. Muxlow, Supt

Welcome, Heather Mahoney, to the Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School! Ms. Mahoney is joining us as a College Advisor for the 20-21 school year. She will help guide students and parents with questions on trade schools, entry into college, workforce, and so much more! Heather is a graduate of MSU and has many accomplishments in Theater and with the FFA. It’s a great year to be a Tiger!

Snapshot of the 1st season from Coach Smith-Corso
Lessons from First Robotics-
Our rookie year in First Robotics was incredible. We were able to compete in one tournament and we got a feel for the excitement of robotics. The students learned so much! Being a rookie team, the students started with no experience. The first thing students learned was how to read a schematic and break down the steps to begin to build. Then they learned how to use the tools to begin to build the robot. This hands-on part of robotics was fun for the students. They loved using the riveter!
Learning to code was a challenge for the team. Other teams really supported us here. A local team sent members over to help us, and at the tournament several teams stopped by to help us out. The First Robotics community is truly wonderful. We are looking forward to this year and hope to be able to pay it forward and help other rookie teams.
