The more that you learn, the more places you will go."

Welcome to Kindergarten!

As you may know, my name is Marie Willis.  I have been teaching Kindergarten for 6 years.  I have been a teacher at CPS for 23 wonderful years.  In addition I coach varsity cheerleading.  I love my job!!  Everyday is a new adventure!!

Just A Note

It is very important for your child to attend school.  Much of what we do daily can not be sent home as homework.

I do understand this is a year your child is being exposed to many new germs!  So if your child does become ill, keep them home!

Our tables are cleaned at least twice daily!

Our classroom is very warm. Please dress students accordingly.

         Snack

We do have a daily snack at approximately 1:45 everyday.  Parents are asked to send in a snack for the whole class to share. (crackers, cheese, pretzels, veggies..etc.)   Milk is NOT given during snack time.  Please feel free to send a special juice/drink for snack time.

    Homework

Your child is given a folder, please be sure to send this with them daily.  It really helps to know that lunch money/notes will be in there. I also send papers home in it for you to look at.

I send a weekly newsletter to keep you informed on what is going on in the classroom, or any item your child might need for the next week.
