This is the beginning of a new and exciting school year for me. I have switched teaching positions from 4th grade to Reading Recovery and RTI (4th, 5th, and 6th grades). I am very excited to be working with students from all levels.
With Reading RecoveryI will be working with 1st graders who need some help with reading. This is a researched based program that aims to help students overcome difficulty with reading.
RTI is extra support for students who are struggling. I will work with them in small groups to provide additional instruction in areas such as reading, writing, and math.
I truly believe that if students aim high and believe in themselves they can succeed. Student also need and extra dose of encouragement and I hope to provide that for them. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me.
