Reading Recovery page!

Parents,

I am excited to be working with Reading Recovery and Kindergarten students. This is my 5th year at CPS and each one has been wonderful and I couldn't ask for a better place to be a teacher.

Reading Recovery involves working with 1st graders who need some help with reading. This is a researched based program that aims to help students overcome difficulty with reading and provide them with the skills to read within his/her classroom average. This truly is a great program the gives students self-confidence and life time skills for reading!!

RTI is extra support for students who are struggling. I will work with them in small groups to provide additional instruction in areas such as reading and math. The more help and practice these students get the better - as with all students.

I truly believe that if students aim high and believe in themselves they can succeed. Student also need and extra dose of encouragement and I hope to provide that for them. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me.
